The Slow Walk
Everyday, around the world, you can see people doing the "slow walk" into work. Carrying their coffee and other accessories making certain every step they take wastes a little bit of their work day. It is as if you can read their minds and hear their sighs of distress. In the middle of one of those sure footed steps they should stop and ask, "why the hell am I working here?"
Working at Junk my Car, I do not slow walk to work with a frap in hand; I almost want to sprint through the door. Immediately walking into the office door I am enveloped in the junking world and culture. The excitement of ping pongers, the greenery of bamboo makes Junk my Car a place to stay rather than a place to punch a timecard. I've been involved with Junk my Car since 2005 and I've been able to see this company start as a vehicle removal service, and grow into a thriving soceity where a diverse group of employees can lock arms to make it more than just a service, we make it an experience worth having.
I pity these slow walkers of the world and hope one day they can find a place where they can enjoy these working days at an exiciting company, rather than be distasteful towards them.
